Legal Notice
1. Operator
141.software and app.141.software are operated under the trade name 141 software (also "141," "we," "us," or "our"). That name is a doing-business-as style brand. It is not a corporation, LLC, partnership, or other limited-liability entity, and using the trade name does not create a liability shield. Agreements on these pages bind you and the natural person or persons currently operating that trade name (the "Operator"). If the Operator later forms or designates a legal entity to operate the Services, the Operator may assign those agreements to that successor.
2. What 141 is
141 is software for research and analysis. It may include company and security workspaces, filings and disclosures, quotes and other market data, news, people and ownership, charts, calendars, alerts, search, documents, maps, screens, scores, saved work, waitlist and account tools, paid plans, and features that organize or summarize information (including using models). It does not connect to a broker, open or hold brokerage accounts, route orders, or execute transactions. 141 is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or other regulated financial-services provider. Nothing in the Services is an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to buy or sell any security, or professional, legal, tax, or investment advice. Rankings, screens, scores, signals, analytics, and other outputs are tools for your own work, not personalized advice. Nothing in the Services creates a fiduciary, advisory, agency, broker, investment-adviser, attorney-client, accountant-client, or other professional relationship.
3. Data in the product
The Services may display quotes, filings, estimates, news, ownership records, transcripts, maps, and figures we compute ourselves. Those items are not one legal category. For example: regulator filings (including SEC EDGAR) are generally public records; exchange quotes and some vendor feeds are typically licensed and may not be redistributed; news articles and many transcripts are copyrighted; analyst estimates and some ownership files may be vendor databases; calculations and transformations we produce from inputs we are lawfully permitted to use may constitute our own original work, subject to any rights or restrictions applicable to the underlying inputs. Calling something "market data" or "derived analytics" does not make it free to copy, export, or rehost.
Your promise not to put us in breach of a vendor or exchange agreement does not, by itself, give 141 the upstream right to ingest, store, cache, display, API-expose, or redistribute any dataset. Those rights, if they exist, come from licenses, public-domain status, or other lawful bases we obtain separately. We may throttle, geo-restrict, modify, or withdraw datasets when a licensor, exchange, regulator, or applicable law requires it. Availability of third-party data may depend on licenses and permissions outside our control, and we may change or remove such data without liability to the fullest extent permitted by law. We make reasonable efforts to keep information current, but we do not warrant completeness, accuracy, timeliness, or fitness for any particular decision. You are solely responsible for independently verifying information before relying on it. No output from the Services should be the sole basis for any transaction or decision. Any reliance you place on the Services is at your own risk.
4. AI-generated news and research summaries
Certain Services may use automated systems, including artificial intelligence and machine-learning models, to summarize, classify, extract, organize, or otherwise transform information obtained from third-party sources, public filings, company disclosures, licensed data feeds, and other information sources.
AI-generated summaries and other generated or AI-assisted content are provided for informational and research purposes only. They may contain factual errors, omit relevant information, misinterpret source material, be outdated, be inconsistent, produce similar or identical output for different users, and reflect limitations of underlying models and data. Generated content is not guaranteed to be original or non-infringing. It does not constitute investment advice, a recommendation, solicitation, or an offer to buy or sell any security or financial product. No generated output should be the sole basis for any transaction or decision.
Where practicable, generated content may include links, citations, source labels, timestamps, or other provenance information associated with the underlying source. Such information may be incomplete or unavailable for certain sources. A source citation does not imply endorsement by, affiliation with, or ownership of the underlying source. You should consult the underlying source materials before relying on material information.
141 uses third-party sources only to the extent we determine that the applicable source, license, permission, or other lawful basis permits the relevant processing and use. The availability of generated content within the Services does not grant you any right to reproduce, republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit underlying third-party content except as permitted by applicable law or the applicable license.
5. Compliance posture
The Services are not designed to satisfy industry-specific regulatory or security frameworks, including HIPAA, FISMA, GLBA obligations applicable to regulated financial institutions, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or a customer's SEC/FINRA vendor-risk program. Do not use 141 to store protected health information or other data that would impose those regimes on the Operator unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in a separate written agreement. Enterprise security, audit, data-processing, or regulatory requirements, if any, require a separate written agreement. You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to you, including securities laws, export controls, privacy obligations, and your firm's policies.
